Exterior renovation complete on future home of Sage Hospitality

The exterir of the historic downtown Denver building, which will be the new headquarters for Sage Hospitality Resources LLC in 2009, is now complete. 

Shames Makovsky Realty Co. of Denver, the owner and redeveloper, had committed to having the work on the exterior finished by Aug. 25 by the beginning of the Democratic National Convention.

Sage Hospitality dedicates headquarters, launches school-assistance effort

Sage Hospitality has made its move into the newly restored 16th Street Mall building and announced its new program to help schools nationwide.  A grand opening ceremony was held on Tuesday at the now known Sage Building at 600-616 th1th Street and Welton Street.

This landmark, owned and redeveloped by Shames Makovsky Realty Co. of Denver, was formerly the Steel Building, which housed the fontius Shoe Co. store.

Sage Hospitality Resources moving into Steel building

Once known as the Steel Building, the 1575 Welton building, and the Fontius building, this historic downtown building has a new name, the Sage Building.  The name comes from the decision by Sage Hospitality Resources to move its corporate headquarters to the property.

Another tenant in the building is American National Bank, which leased 4,500 square feet of first-floor space.  Sage has leased 48,346 square feet and will relocate its 120 employees to the newly stored Sage Building in the first quarter of 2009.
